چکیده

Introduction: Graves Disease (GD) is the most common cause of primary hyperthyroidism. It an autoimmune disorder characterized by presence thyrotropin related antibodies that stimulate thyroidal cells, resulting in overproduction thyroid hormones. has been reported cytokines might be involved GD pathogenesis. So, aim present study was to investigate possible associations between IL-37 Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms (SNPs) and susceptibility GD.

Association between IL-21 gene rs907715 polymorphisms and Graves’ disease in a Southern Chinese population

Interleukin-21 (IL-21) is a pleiotropic cytokine linking innate and adaptive immune responses, which has been reported to play a key role in multiple autoimmune diseases. The aim of the present case-control study was to investigate the genetic association between single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of rs907715 within the IL-21 gene and Graves' disease (GD) in a Southern Chinese population. A...

Association between TSHR gene polymorphism and the risk of Graves' disease: a meta-analysis

Thyroid stimulating hormone receptor (TSHR) is thought to be a significant candidate for genetic susceptibility to Graves' disease (GD). However, the association between TSHR gene polymorphism and the risk of GD remains controversial. In this study, we investigated the relationship between the two conditions by meta-analysis. We searched all relevant case-control studies in PubMed, Web of Scien...

Association between interleukin 21 and Graves' disease.

Graves' disease (GD) is an organ-specific autoimmune thyroid disease; 25-50% of GD patients will develop Graves' ophthalmopathy (GO). The etiology of GD and GO may be multifactorial, but the immune response plays a central role. Many studies have reported that IL-21 has crucial roles in autoimmune diseases. We examined whether IL-21 is associated with the development of GD and GO. The ser...

Association between Long Noncoding RNA ANRIL Expression Variants and Susceptibility to Coronary Artery Disease

Animal cells possess thousands of long non-coding (lnc) RNAs, such as antisense noncoding RNA in the INK4 locus (ANRIL) , which have regulatory roles in the cells’ molecular mechanisms, including X-chromosome inactivation, and developmental processes.  These lnc RNAs are known to influence the extensive spectrum of age-related disorders. Accordingly, there is evidence for the role of...

Study on the association between IL-1β, IL-8 and IL-10 gene polymorphisms and risk of coronary artery disease.

We aimed to evaluate the role of genetic polymorphisms in IL-1β, IL-8 and IL-10 in the risk of coronary artery disease (CAD). We identified 325 patients with CAD and 342 control subjects without CAD between January 2013 and December 2014. Genotyping of IL-1β +3954 C/T, IL-1β -511 C/T, IL-8-251T/A, IL-10-1082A/G and IL-10-819C/T was performed in a 384-well plate format on the Sequenom MassARRAY ...
